Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine

The heart of Traditional Chinese Medicine is Qi (vital energy). The Chinese believe that this energy runs throughout the body and consists of every aspect of a person's body, mind and spirit, affecting physical, emotional and hormonal response throughout the body's complex systems.

A person's health is influenced by the flow of Qi around the body. If the flow of Qi is insufficient, unbalanced or interrupted, Yin and Yang become unbalanced and illness, soreness and tightness of tissues may occur.

Qi energy needs to flow like a river, a river that doesn't flow becomes stagnant. TCM works to rebalance your Qi and diminish any illness from which you may suffer, using techniques and treatments proven to work, some of which are over five thousand years old!

Cupping, Moxibustion, Acupuncture, and Internal organ balancing/detoxification are ancient theories and practices complimented by western therapies and diagnosis to give a more complete treatment. Modern medical scientists are slowly starting to find there is a lot to learn from oriental medicine.
